Hi everyone, our Society had its first ever scarecrow competition this weekend and we have WINNERS.
Here are the winning scarecrows and the judge’s comments.
1st Prize winner,
a very colourful and attractive scarecrow. Original and artistic design, using spaces to suggest waist and legs. A swishy skirt and hair to deter the birds. Looks very sweet and cheerful.
2nd winner
Mouse. Amazing amount of work gone into this figure. Well proportioned and stands up well. Love the attention to detail with the added creatures and bugs.
3rd winner
Scary scarecrow! Love the hair and hi-viz jacket. Very imposing.
CHILDREN’S ENTRY
Well done for making such a fantastic scarecrow. Great use of straw stuffing. I love the happy, smiley face and fabulous hair.
Well done to the winners. A fantastic effort from each of you.
