We value the contribution all our members can make to our community of growers and encourage you to get involved with the society.

 

There are various activities and events that you can support to help build our and maintain our community. Volunteering is a way that you can both improve your quality of life and those of your fellow members.

Examples of volunteering opportunities are:

• Helping at one of our garden shops

Pick times and days that suit you and that can help us build a rota that keeps the shops open​

​

• Join our committee ​

It does not take lots of time and a strong committee is key to the smooth operation of the society.​

​

• Planting trees and shared areas​

We plant trees and other plants in shares areas to encourage wildlife and to help protect the allotments.​

​

• Water buddies​

Help each other when due to illness or holiday allotments can't be watered. ​

​

• Help run competitions​

We run various competitions ​often with a prize to help build our friendly community

​
